FAQ

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
"The only stupid question is the one not asked."

Q; I own a "yadda yadda" made by "blah blah". Which one of your engines or will your engine "X" work with my plane?
A: The owner, Rich West, owns several homebuilt airboats and a 1/4 scale or 150 size Hangar 9 P-47D Thunderbolt or "Jug" and has not had much personal experience with nor is familiar with every aircraft out there. He has more experience with the engines themselves than RC aircraft in general. In his words, "I've always been more of a crew chief or mechanic rather than a pilot." An excellent mechanic but lousy scary pilot.

Q: What exactly is a "conversion" engine?
A: A "conversion engine" is any engine that has been modified from it's original configuration, design and purpose to be used in a entirely different way for a completely different reason & purpose. In the case of ITGE, the conversion engines are small 2 cycle engines originally intended for use as grasstrimmers, leaf blowers, chainsaws, hedgetrimmers, ect. that have been modified in a series of many steps to be used as the powerplant for large giant scale RC aircraft and airboats.

Q: Do you make or sell engines for RC boats?
A: Sorry, no and not in the foreseeable future. Same goes for car and truck engines.

Q: Do you sell propellers?
A: Not now but we may in the future.

Q:Can I pay you with a credit card?
A: We accept payment through Paypal, money order or personal check only made payable to Richard West.
We cannot directly accept or process credit cards at this time.

For ordering information you use: sales@indianatinygasengines.com

Q: What is the advantages of getting ecectronic ignition or EI for my   engine?
A: First of all your going to shed nearly a pound in weight due to the removal of the coil and flywheel as well as several ounces more aluminum that has to be machined from the engine block. Next, EI once the time is set, makes your engine super easy to start needing only a flick of your finger to get it going and lastly, for the adventurous, the engine will run in either direction! Add a pusher prop and fly in reverse!! Just kidding. =)~
